my one and a half year old Bulldog Bear has been having these rock like little scabs around his body under the fur He went to the vet a couple weeks ago and the doctor said to see if it goes away before he puts him on antibiotics. Is there any natural remedy or ointment that would get rid of these he said it could be folliculitis.

NuStock. We say this often in here, every household needs to have NuStock. When you scrape these Little Rockā€™s off hair will come with them. NuStock will regrow the hair šŸ‘

Can you try to get photos of it? it sounds like what I would use Chlorhexidine soaks for.

thanks so much

sadly.. with staph infections antibiotics are needed to get it under control and then you need to strengthen the immune system

Agree with both above posts.

If it is full body dime to nickel sized spots it is most likely staphā€¦ which almost always requires antibiotics.

But, youā€™ve already been to the vet and they wanted to take a wait and see approach? This makes me second guess.

Waiting to see what the pictures look like but if it is staph: I have had some success with the soaks, without antibiotics (not always). It is important not to give baths. The soaks are like this:
An ounce of 2% chlorhexidine mixed with a gallon of water. Soak the dog with the mixture making sure to keep away from eyes and face. Wait 10 minutes and dry - NO RINSE - dry completely. Do this for three days. Afterwards, if it worked, you will not have any new sores and slowly start regaining hair.

I do the soak along with the antibiotics if Iā€™m doing antibiotics. And by itself when Iā€™m not. A gallon of chlorhexidine should not cost more than $25 so make sure youā€™re not getting ripped off when you pick it up. Store it in a dark place and youā€™ll have it whenever you need it. (I like to follow up the rare bath with a soak.)
