COLUMBUS, Ohio - Columbus police are searching for a pair of grinches that brazenly stole a pup in broad daylight last month.

The brindle bulldog was swiped on November 9 from the Petland store on Bethel Road. Police say the male suspect played with the pup before placing it back into its cubicle living area. That's when a female thief stuffed the young canine into her oversized tote.

The couple then walked out of the store unnoticed.

The pricy pup was valued at $3,988.

ugh, I live in columbus. and petland is THE WORST. just like any other pet store, sells mill dogs, sells sick puppies. absolutely disgusting and sad. read some of the reviews online about them, just awful.

I hope that poor baby has been taken care of at the very least.

Aww I hope he is found safe and sound, or that they are at least taking care of him and loving him.

I hate thiefs but if the place is like the reviews it gets and the replies from the article about them. The dog might be better off.
